Landscape architectural design incorporates aspects of botany, horticulture, the fine arts, architecture, engineering, soil science, ecology, and behavioral science to create a design that is as much functional and sustainable as it is aesthetically pleasing. Ms. Sassen has extensive working knowledge of environmental regulations, natural resource issues, and public and private access needs. She obtained federal, State and local permits and approvals for projects ranging from small scale residential development to public and private multi-million dollar projects with complex ecological and regulatory issues.

Gisele Sassen, principal landscape architect and environmental planner, has over 20 years of experience in delivering projects for public and private clients throughout the Puget Sound region.
Gisele's portfolio includes public park, residential, institutional, transportation, and industrial projects, often with a sensitive area component, including marine and freshwater shorelines, wetlands, and streams.
Gisele has been instrumental in implementing many award-winning projects, and is recognized by her clients and peers for her technical expertise and creativity, the quality of her work, and her commitment to service.
Gisele provided consulting services to the Cities of Seattle, Olympia, Bellingham, Mount Vernon, Issaquah, Kirkland, Mercer Island, and Bellevue; and to other public and private entities including the University of Washington, Children’s Hospital, the Ports of Bellingham, Friday Harbor, Seattle, and Olympia, and many other public and private clients.
